Provided sufficient coatings are applied, 039 Platinum can work for up to three seasons. 039 Platinum uses an advanced Self-Polishing Co-polymer (SPC) system. This technology allows a carefully controlled release of biocide upon contact with seawater. The polishing (eroding) process is further enhanced, due to the movement of water across the hull, continually smoothing the surface and ensuring that a fresh layer of biocide is always exposed to its environment.
